Departmental Activities

The Department of Mathematics has been involved in various research and innovation activities over the last five years. Some of these are as follows:

• Dr. Pankaj Biswas bags DST-SERB MATRICS project titled “Spectral Element Method for Parabolic Initial Boundary Value Problems with Corner Singularities”
• The Department of Mathematics, NIT Silchar is planning to celebrate “International Day of Mathematics” on 14 March 2022. 
• The Department of Mathematics, NIT Silchar celebrates National Science Day 2022 on 28 February 2022 along with Physics, Chemistry and Humanities and Social Sciences Departments. 
• “International Conference on Computational Intelligence & Sustainable Technologies” is organized by NIT Silchar during 28-30 October 2021. 
• “27th International Conference of International Academy of Physical Sciences on Mathematical Modelling in Biological Sciences” is organized by Department of Mathematics, NIT Silchar during 26-28 October 2021.
